Studied fine arts at Winchester School of Art, Central School of Art, London and came to Australia in 1986.
In that time he has had over thirty solo exhibitions in both regional and commercial galleries in Australia, USA and UK.

Andrew became a member of the Royal Society of Etchers in 2001 and has been selected for the Dobell Drawing Prize on seven occasions as well as the Adelaide Perry, Hutchins, Jacaranda and National Works on Paper Drawing Prizes.

In 2006 he won the Tyree Tycan Works on Paper Prize and in 2008 the Tweed River Gallery Print Award..
