Born USA 1960, Strampp is a Melbourne based artist exhibiting regularly in Melbourne and Sydney. She completed an MFA (by research) in 2010 at Monash University and has been selected for the AGNSW Sulman Prize in 2010, 2006, 2003 and 1996; the RM McGivern Prize in 2009 and 2003; the Moet & Chandon Prize 1993 and 91 90.

Strampp has held thirty solo exhibitions and is represented in public and private collections around the world. She is represented by King Street Gallery on William.
