Born in Sydney in 1974, Joe Frost is a Sydney-based artist whose paintings and drawings of the last five years have concentrated on the remnants of heavy industry in the inner suburbs and harbour of Sydney.

He studied at UNSW CoFA (BFA Hons1, MFA) and has taught at the National Art School and CoFA for the last five years. This year he will mount his eighth solo show at Legge Gallery, Redfern, and in 2007 he was joint winner of the Adelaide Perry Prize for drawing.
