Born in Lilydale, Victoria in 1927. He studied painting at Swinburne Institute of Technology from 1944-45 and between1946-47 studied with Danila Vassilieff.

In 1954 and 56 Ken travelled to Europe, lived in England for a short time and then again in 1968 to 1970. During this time he travelled extensively. In 1976-77 Ken was he Artist in Residence at the Ballarat College of Advanced Education and in 1978 he moved to Perugia Italy.

He has had a great number of solo and group shows and is represented by most national and regional galleries of Australia and in many private and public collections.
