Biography

Born Sydney, 1974, Louisa Chircop studied at St George TAFE, receiving the State Commission Medal for Fine Arts in NSW. Continuing her studies she obtained a BFA with First Class Honours, and MFA Research from the College of Fine Arts UNSW.

Other awards and achievements include Dobell Drawing Prize finalist 2012, Basil and Muriel Hooper Scholarship AGNSW, Australian Post Graduate Award UNSW, Josef Lebovic Acquisitive Print Prize COFA UNSW, and Fisher’s Ghost section winner.

She currently lectures at various universities and TAFE in painting and drawing.
