Graeme and l have been meeting regularly for over thirty years. This drawing is one of many that have traced Graeme’s on-going struggle with schizophrenia and mental illness.
Completed over two nights, it is as much about friendship as it is about the act of drawing. My working with charcoal allows me to erase and work back into the drawing, allowing the history of the marks to be revealed. Peter is the winner 2016 Ric Amor Drawing Prize at Ballarat Art Gallery. 82
