Born in Sydney 1962. Stephen has had twelve solo exhibitions, the first being at Coventry Gallery in 1986, the most recent at the Incinerator Gallery in 2011.

He has been included in many group shows and many prizes, including the Dobell, Sculpture by the Sea, The Willoughby Sculpture Prize and the Blake.

Stephen is represented in many collections including AGNSW, Willoughby Council and the Cardiff Arts Centre, Wales. He was awarded the UNSW Paris Residency 2003, MFA (COFA) 2004 and the UNSW Alumni Art Prize 2007.

In 2024 the Kedumba Collection will host the $20,000 acquisitive Kedumba Drawing Award!

For 35 years the Kedumba Drawing Award has been one of the pre-eminent awards for drawing in Australia. The addition of the $20,000 prize money will ensure that the Award continues to grow and build on its success for many years to come.
