Illustration is my foremost device, in which I attempt to present a select cast of characters in and out of context. The resulting compositions commonly imagine the inner workings of human behaviour, and carefully articulate its temptations and corruptions. Repetition and duality are key to my approach, often representing how thoughts can be processed and turned over in the mind. Beauty and aesthetics are important to me and fostered in equal parts by my focused attention to detail and exploration of composition and materials. My work has been featured in significant exhibitions and prizes including, The National 2019 at The Museum of Contemporary Art, the 2023 Dobell Prize for Drawing, and in 2020 I won the Jacaranda Drawing Award at Grafton Regional Gallery.
