Drawing is an important part of my artistic practice. All the major changes that have happened in my paintings have come out of drawings and then been translated onto canvas.

I like to draw in an fluid way, using charcoal and a wet brush. I deal with any changes that need to be made by using collaged paper and redrawing over the top, I like the fracturing of space that happens with this method and it also frees me from the fear of making mistakes. Often drawings will take weeks to resolve as I keep them in the studio and slowly make changes.
