Drawing is my art practice. All other modes of expression come from this practice. The simplicity of the medium allows the imaginative to flourish and find its growth within the mark ,tone & composition. Charcoal ,in particular, has this fluidity , subtlety and drama required for imaginative works that evolve as the conversation develops between my imagination and the medium. The imaginal is an unchartered sea and has been a space that can manifest the concepts that, to me, are of great intrigue and mystery. Those of play , dream ,magic ,ritual , absurdity and theatre .
Here it is in this work .All the aforementioned things being a source of wonder bound up in this apparent strangeness.
