Grief I

by Michelle Hungerford

Artist Statement

Drawing is intrinsic to my practice. I draw to capture my inner and outer world. To make a mark is to capture a feeling or a vision, and to give a physical description to that emotion or thing. For me, drawing will often kick start a new series of work. This will eventually feed directly or indirectly into my paintings. Grief I is one of a series of work made after the death of my father. Art has led me to exhibit in Australia, UK, Germany in both public and private galleries.
