Drawing is the backbone of my art practice.
I am drawn to depict the natural world, finding fascination and solace, away from the consumerism and politics of modern society.
For me, drawing is a meditative action, as well as a way of understanding shape, form, structure, and colour, whether it's the physical formation of landscape, details of plants, or in this case, the organic appearance of my rescue dog, Monty, as he sleeps soundly in a warm blanket.
