Drawing is at the core of my practice; an intuitive, responsive act that connects thinking, making, and storytelling. It enables me to explore history, memory, and identity, often with a focus on regional or queer narratives. This work is a remnant of a hand-drawn animation about Northern Beaches surfer and boxer Adam George. It traces his everyday loves, including his dog Starky. Comprising thousands of drawn stills, drawn, documented and erased on single sheets of paper, the animation becomes both a portrait of a modern queer family and a meditative walk along the shoreline.
