Chris Browne
As an artist working in the realist mode of representation, whether in oil paint, or with the graphic medium of charcoal,
my focus is predominantly on the figure and figure groupings in an architectural context, with an emphasis on coordinated
tonal values and mass design. The influences of an environment on behaviour and body language is a continuing interest of mine.
The man-made spaces are often classical in design, with baroque elements creating a tension between movement and stasis,
stability and the ephemeral.
