Claire Tozer
My travels and walks through the Australian landscape are the basis of my drawings. With fine ink pens and a slow methodical process I can revisit the serene experience. I overlap small repetitive lines, changing angles and directions to create a weaving of this environment. In 2018 I won First Prize in the Korean Australian Arts Foundation and in 2017 I was a finalist in the Adelaide Perry Prize for drawing, the Ravenswood Women’s Art Prize, Pro Hart Outback Art Prize and KAAF Art Prize. In 2006 I was selected in the ‘Salon des Refuses’.
