Two new exhibitions now open!
Kedumba’s back for 2025, with two new exhibitions now up on the Gallery walls.
Since winning Kedumba in 2019 (with Looking in; Seeing out – Bundanon), Peta Minnici has gone from strength to strength, with a number of solo and group exhibitions as well as artist residencies.
We are now privileged to be able to present a selection of Peta’s more recent work. Interesting works in their own right, these pieces also illustrate the process of artistic development, with both continuities and new directions very much in evidence.
Our other exhibition is entitled “Eclectic”. Although it has no obvious theme (apart, of course, from illustrating Australian drawing at its finest), the opportunity has been taken to showcase rarely-seen works from the Kedumba Collection, including drawings by Ben Quilty, Michael Xavros, Guy Warren, Stephen Hall and Vickie Parish.
For 35 years the Kedumba Drawing Award has been one of the pre-eminent awards for drawing in Australia. The addition of the $20,000 prize money will ensure that the Award continues to grow and build on its success for many years to come.
